Anna Purchase, a junior at Cal representing England, placed seventh in the women's hammer throw final with a second-round mark of 227-6 (69.34m) at the NCAA Division 1 Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Purchase, who earned All-America first-team honors, produced the top seventh-place mark in championship meet history. She and Camryn Rogers also became the first teammates since USC in 2012 to both earn All-America first-team recognition in the hammer, joining Arizona State in the final, with Beatrice Llano taking third and Shelby Moran finishing fifth.
